We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with full-cycle recruiting experience from sourcing to interviewing to hiring great employees. Working under the Human Resources Manager, you will hold an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing and assessing candidates. You will be responsible to ensure that Wise Publishing, Inc attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. This entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience.
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process.
  • Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings.
  • Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing itDevelop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements.
  • Perform reference checks as needed.
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiating employment terms.
  • Manage onboarding and new hire process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience is needed.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

SEO Content Specialist

Wise Publishing is seeking a SEO Content Specialist to help make our website the best in class. Reporting to the Manager of SEO, the SEO specialist will be responsible for monitoring website performance and planning improvements so we can stay ahead of our competition. This role will achieve this by:

  • Identifying issues that may impact our overall site health
  • Managing our process for garnering backlinks
  • Planning and executing opportunities for website optimizations

Who should you be, ideally?

  • 3-6 years immersive experience within SEO

Wise Publishing’s office, located in midtown Toronto is looking to hire an Office Administrator to join the team. You will provide administrative support to the executive and senior leadership team (6 individuals), by supporting communication, scheduling and documentation or requests are done with professionalism, efficiency and a high attention to detail. The successful candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Office and have administrative experience.

What will you do?

  • Execute on internal and external client requests as necessary and prepare review materials, correspondence and reports
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives, using digital and print and organize client event logistics, catering, managing guest lists, etc.
  • Provide high level concierge service to clients to ensure client experience is first- class
  • Utilize Wise Publishing’s contact management system for daily task management

We are searching for an enthusiastic Digital Editor to make an attractive web presence for our company.

As a Digital Editor, you will be responsible for implementing our content strategy across all properties and ensuring that all content on the websites adhere to our editorial standards. You will monitor articles coming out from all of our publications and make decisions about the arrangement of editorial content from the content editors, content writers, design staff, and freelance contributors. You will work closely with the VP of Content, Senior Editors and Director of Content Monetization to measure audience engagement and develop strategies to improve content performance.

The ideal candidate has exceptional knowledge of digital media and strong attention to detail. You are a digital native, so understanding our platforms, keeping up with market trends, and editing digital content will come naturally. You should be comfortable making ongoing, data-driven decisions on individual content placements and on content optimizations, including content, image, and headline adjustments. You must be able to sustain quality, engagement, and volume across our network and drive increased circulation and brand prominence.
